Your itinerary

    Day 1 — Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport, Transfer to Moshi

    Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Moshi, the gateway to Mount Kilimanjaro. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Check-in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    Day 2 — Drive to Machame Gate, Hike to Machame Camp

    After breakfast, we drive to the Machame Gate, the starting point of our 7-day trek. Our guides will complete the necessary registration and we will begin our ascent up Mount Kilimanjaro. The hike to Machame Camp is approximately 6-7 hours, taking us through lush rainforest and heathland. Enjoy a warm dinner and a good night's rest.

    Day 3 — Hike to Shira Camp via Lava Tower

    Today we ascend to Shira Camp, via the famous Lava Tower. The hike is approximately 10 hours, taking us through various climate zones, including heathland and alpine desert. The Lava Tower offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. We will have a picnic lunch and enjoy a hot dinner at Shira Camp.

    Day 4 — Hike to Barranco Camp via Karanga Valley

    After breakfast, we descend to Karanga Valley and then ascend to Barranco Camp. The hike is approximately 8-9 hours, taking us through various climate zones, including alpine desert and scrubland. We will have a picnic lunch and enjoy a hot dinner at Barranco Camp.

    Day 5 — Hike to Barafu Camp via Karanga Valley

    Today we ascend to Barafu Camp, the final camp before our summit attempt. The hike is approximately 5-6 hours, taking us through various climate zones, including alpine desert and scrubland. We will have a picnic lunch and enjoy a hot dinner at Barafu Camp.

    Day 6 — Summit Day, Descend to Mweka Camp

    Today is the day we have been training for - our summit attempt. We will depart Barafu Camp at midnight, hike to the summit, and then descend to Mweka Camp. The hike is approximately 12-14 hours, taking us through various climate zones, including alpine desert and scrubland. We will have a hot dinner and a good night's rest at Mweka Camp.

    Day 7 — Descend to Mweka Gate, Transfer to Moshi

    After breakfast, we descend to Mweka Gate, the endpoint of our 7-day trek. Our guides will complete the necessary registration and we will transfer back to Moshi. We will celebrate our successful climb with a hot lunch and a cold drink. Congratulations on reaching the roof of Africa!
